My journey into well-being has been deeply personal.
Through my own challenges with mental and physical health, as well as the ups and downs of parenting far from home, I’ve learned how vital it is to invest in our well-being - before it’s almost too late. These experiences have shaped me into someone who deeply understands what it means to heal—not just on a physical level, but emotionally and spiritually too.
I grew up in Finland, surrounded by vast forests and the gentle presence of birch trees. These trees held me through my childhood, their whispering leaves a quiet source of comfort and wisdom. In 2023, during a summer trip back home, I found myself reconnecting with them in a way I hadn’t expected. They began appearing in my dreams, reminding me of something ancient and deeply embedded in my being—the quiet knowing that nature holds us, speaks to us, and restores us if we only listen.
That same pull toward deep, embodied wisdom is what led me to Tul’ix Therapy in 2022, during yet another health challenge. This ancient abdominal and sacral massage practice, rooted in the healing traditions of the Jucatec Maya, reshaped my understanding of feminine health. It awakened a level of awareness and connection to my body I hadn’t thought possible, empowering me to take my well-being into my own hands in a way I never had before.
But Tul’ix therapy surprised me in an even deeper way.
Through its practices, I found myself not only reconnecting with my physical self but also being drawn back to my own roots—a profound sense of belonging that reawakened my connection to my heritage and the indigenous wisdom of nature. The way the Maya see healing—as something far beyond the physical—mirrored the deep knowing I had felt as a child in the Finnish forests. It reminded me that healing is not just about fixing something that is broken; it’s about remembering who we are.
With deep gratitude, I now share this sacred healing tradition, helping others restore balance, rediscover their body’s innate intelligence, and feel at home within themselves.
